Watch: Yash's Dark Avatar Revealed in Toxic

To mark Yash’s birthday, the makers of Toxic – A Fairytale for Grown-Ups unveiled a striking character introduction video revealing Raya, portrayed by the actor.

The reveal follows a carefully planned rollout in which the production first introduced its female ensemble cast; Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria; setting up the film’s character-driven world before unveiling its central protagonist.

The video opens in a cemetery and quickly shifts into an intense action sequence. Gunfire shatters the silence as Raya emerges through smoke, wielding a tommy gun.

The visuals establish a darker tone and signal the film’s scale and ambition. Readmore!

Building on footage released during last year’s birthday tease, the new glimpse expands the action-heavy universe and sharpens the project’s visual identity.

As actor, co-writer and co-producer, Yash steps into a role that reflects creative experimentation within an international storytelling framework. The film positions him in a grittier, more stylised avatar compared to his previous outings.

Yash rose to pan-Indian stardom with the K.G.F: Chapter 1 and K.G.F: Chapter 2 franchise, where his portrayal of Rocky Bhai turned him into a larger-than-life action icon and delivered record-breaking box-office results.

While K.G.F cemented his mass appeal, his earlier Kannada films, including Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari and Googly, highlighted his versatility.

Written by Yash and director Geetu Mohandas, Toxic – A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and other languages.

The technical team includes National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, composer Ravi Basrur, editor Ujwal Kulkarni and production designer T. P. Abid.

Action sequences are choreographed by Hollywood stunt coordinator J. J. Perry, alongside Indian action directors Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.

Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic – A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, coinciding with Eid, Ugadi and Gudi Padwa.
