Hit Machine Anil Ravipudi, who has delivered nothing but blockbusters so far, is all set to continue his golden run with Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, starring Megastar Chiranjeevi.
In an exclusive interview, the director reveals that Chiranjeevi loved the story in the very first sitting. Anil Ravipudi completed the full script along with dialogues within 45 days, after which the Megastar gave his immediate nod.
“Chiranjeevi believed in me and gave me a free hand in every aspect, though he shared valuable inputs. The story and narrative are very contemporary and updated. He initially suggested a salt-and-pepper look, but I felt it wasn’t required considering his fit physique,” Anil said.
“We wrapped up the shoot in about 80–85 days. Except for two days of minor patchwork, everything is complete. The first post-production for first half is also done.”
Music for the film is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, and the two songs released so far have turned into chartbusters. “When I first heard Meesala Pilla, I felt the tune was extraordinary, but I never imagined it would cross 100 million views in such short span. That response is a very positive sign for the film. Sasirekha also became a big hit,” he added.
Anil Ravipudi further disclosed that Chiranjeevi’s introduction song is situational. “It is set during Sharat Saxena’s birthday party, where the mood is dull. Chiranjeevi’s character lifts the energy through this song. It will be a big surprise for Mega fans. Aata Sandeep choreographed it. Chiranjeevi himself recommended him, and he proved his mettle. We are planning to release the song by the end of this month.”
Victory Venkatesh will be seen in an extended cameo. “It was Chiranjeevi’s idea to bring in Venkatesh, as the story had scope for it. Their combination scenes will be crazy and highly entertaining. Audiences are in for a feast. Venkatesh will be on screen for nearly 20 minutes.”
The director shared that the story largely revolves around Chiranjeevi’s character. “While Chiranjeevi plays a national security officer, Nayanthara comes from a rich family. It will have an interesting crime backdrop as well. However, I added family elements to add drama and emotions.
Harshavardhan and Abhinav Gomatam’s roles travel alongside him. I made a conscious effort to explore Chiranjeevi’s fun side. Sachin Khedekar plays Nayanthara’s father, and Bulli Raju appears in a cameo.”
Anil Ravipudi confirmed that the film is being released on a table-profit basis, with the producers extremely satisfied with the pre-release business. He assured audiences of a complete entertainer this Sankranthi.
“This Sankranthi will be truly memorable. The film promises double the entertainment. After a long time, Chiranjeevi is coming up with a wholesome entertainer packed with good songs, and Venkatesh’s presence is an added bonus,” he concluded, also revealing plans for aggressive promotions post-release.
