File clearance speed: Naidu ranks 6, Pawan 11

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednsday conducted a detailed review of the file clearance performance of all ministers, directing them to accelerate approval processes and reduce pendency across departments.

During a high-level meeting attended by ministers and department secretaries, the chief minister examined data on the number of files received by each minister, average time taken to dispose of files and instances of “parking” files without decision.

The IT secretary presented the E-Office File Clearance Report, outlining department-wise performance. Among the cabinet ministers, social welfare minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneyaswamy ranked No. 1 with average file clearance time of two days and 41 minutes.

State irrigation minister Nimmala Ramanaidu is in the second position with zero pending or parked files. Law minister N.M.D. Farooq was ranked third based on swift clearance rates. Readmore!

The secretary said the chief minister ranked sixth, though he handled the highest number of files. Out of 6,713 filed received, he had cleared 6,653 files and parked 401 files. He took more than 3 days to clear each file.

Naidu’s son and state IT minister Nara Lokesh was ranked 9th by taking 3 days and 14 hours in clearing each file. Out of 3,916 files he had handled, Lokesh cleared 3,669 files and parked 266 files.

Jana Sena Party president and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan ranked 11th in the file clearance and he took an average of four days and nine hours to clear each file. He had cleared 2,001 files and parked 67 files.

The poor performers are: Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy and Kollu Ravindra, Payyavula Keshav.

The chief minister instructed all ministers to significantly improve turnaround times and ensure that administrative processes remain efficient and transparent.
