The release of Akhanda 2 Thaandavam has finally been announced by the makers.
After clearing all the ordeals related to finances and court cases, the film is all set to release on December 12, with premieres on December 11.
The fans of Balakrishna are elated, as they initially feared that any further delay would kill the interest. It is true that the hype had already diluted to some extent because of the unexpected one-week delay.
On the other hand, two small films titled Mowgli and Psych Siddhartha are scheduled for release on December 12.
Mowgli features Suma and Rajeev Kanakala's son in the lead, while Psych Siddhartha stars Nandu, who is also the producer.
After a long time, Nandu's film received some media traction and was expected to pull target audiences to theatres.
However, with Akhanda 2 creating a massive wave of attention, it is doubtful whether audiences will care about these two small films.
Already Mowgli director Sandeep Raj posted an emotional tweet about his film's postponement again with Akhanda 2 effect.
Whether Psych Siddhartha also will get postponed to December 19 or December 25 or will go ahead as planned is something that remains to be seen.
