Seasoned actor Dr Rajasekhar, who recently made a comeback after a long hiatus, has reportedly suffered a leg injury on the sets of his upcoming film.
According to sources, the actor sustained multiple fractures in his ankle during an unfortunate mishap while shooting and later underwent surgery.
“The accident happened during filming. His ankle absorbed the impact, causing multiple fractures. Despite being in severe pain, he had to undergo surgery,” a source revealed.
As a doctor himself, Dr Rajasekhar is said to have cooperated closely with the orthopaedic team throughout the two-hour procedure. “He is recovering well,” the source added.
Medical experts have advised complete rest, emphasising that his injured leg must remain immobile for several weeks.
“He has been recommended three to four weeks of rest. He will not be able to resume shooting until he fully recovers and is expected to return to the sets in January 2026,” the source clarified.
Dr. Rajasekhar; celebrated for iconic films like Ankusam, Agraham, Simha Rasi, and his signature tough-cop roles; made a solid comeback with films like Kalki.
He is currently playing a crucial role in Sharwanand’s action drama Biker.
