Harish Shankar Awaits a 'Yes' from Balakrishna

Realizing that his film with Pawan Kalyan, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, is unlikely to materialize anytime soon, Harish Shankar is now looking to move forward with a new project.

After directing Mr Bachchan with Ravi Teja — which wrapped up quickly but failed at the box office—he is eager for a strong comeback.

Reports suggest that Harish Shankar is currently in talks with Nandamuri Balakrishna for his next directorial venture.

Balakrishna, meanwhile, is exploring his next move following the release of Akhanda 2, scheduled for September.

While he is reportedly enthusiastic about the prospect of working with Harish Shankar, he is said to be waiting for a stronger script.

The underwhelming performance of Daaku Maharaaj, which resulted in losses for several distributors, has made him cautious.

Balakrishna also has other options on the table, including a potential reunion with Gopichand Malineni, who recently wrapped up Jaat with Sunny Deol.

As of now, Harish Shankar has not received an official go-ahead from Balakrishna and remains in wait-and-watch mode, hoping for a green light soon.
