Abbavaram and pregnant wife exit 'Marco' midway

Telugu actor Kiran Abbavaram recently revealed that he had to leave the theatre midway while watching Marco, starring Unni Mukundan, with his pregnant wife.

His comments come amid growing criticism of the film in Kerala for its intense violent content.

In an interview with Galatta Telugu, Kiran shared that he couldn’t sit through the entire movie and stepped out before the second half.

He explained that the violence felt excessive, making it uncomfortable for his wife, who is expecting. Concerned for her well-being, they left well before the pre-climax, where a major act of violence unfolds.

Discussing the ongoing debate on violence in films like Marco and Pushpa 2: The Rule, Kiran acknowledged cinema’s impact on audiences.

He noted that films leave a lasting impression, with viewers carrying what they see for days. While some can separate fiction from reality, others may be deeply affected.

Reflecting on his own experience, he admitted that while violent films no longer influence him, they had a strong impact on him in his late teens and early twenties.
