Gandhi Tatha Chettu, starring Sukumar Bandreddi’s daughter Sukriti Veni Bandreddi in the lead role, is set to release in theaters on January 24th.
Directed by Padmavati Malladi and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and Gopi Talkies, the film has already garnered accolades on the international film festival circuit.
At a recent media interaction in Hyderabad, Sukumar shared his pride in Sukriti’s performance.
“I never imagined my playful daughter had such acting potential. Watching her first clip was a revelation,” he said.
He also praised the film’s director Padmavati Malladi, stating, “Her narration and vision ensured this film will leave a lasting impression.”
Tabitha Sukumar, Sukriti’s mother, expressed her initial doubts about her daughter’s acting abilities but credited the director for believing in her.
“The film’s festival success gave me hope for a theatrical release, and I urge the audience to support it,” she said emotionally.
The film, which also stars Anand Chakrapani, Raghuram, Bhanu Prakash, and others, boasts music by Re and cinematography by Srijith Cheruvupalli and Vishwa Devabattula.
Sukriti has already won the Best Child Artist award for her role, adding to the anticipation surrounding the release.
