During the recent visit to his native assembly constituency of Pulivendula in Kadapa district YSR Congress party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy held a prolonged meeting with his party leaders and cadre.
According to sources, at the meeting, Jagan was virtually flooded with large number of complaints against party general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy stating that he was messing up the things in the party and was responsible for the party’s debacle in most of the constituencies in the last assembly elections.
They also complained to the party president that Sajjala and also Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy have become a stumbling block in the party’s growth and were not allowing the party leaders to approach Jagan.
The YSRCP chief gave them a patient hearing and appeared to be surprised to receive so many complaints against Sajjala and also Chevireddy.
But to their shock, Jagan called his officer on special duty (OSD) Krishna Mohan Reddy and simply asked him to look into these complaints and submit him a report.
What Jagan is perhaps not aware that Sajjala, Chevireddy and OSD Krishna Mohan Reddy are close friends and part of one team that is calling shots in the party. They are the ones who plan everything together in the party.
So, there is no possibility of the OSD submitting any report to Jagan against Sajjala. Obviously, this has disappointed the party leaders who complained against him. It’s anybody’s guess as to what their fate would be in the coming days.
It’s time Jagan should realise the ground realities and take impartial and harsh decisions, if he wants to save the party from further disaster.
