Ambati better focus on AP, than Telangana

Strange is the attitude of some YSR Congress party leaders. At a time when they are expected to focus on revitalising the party in Andhra Pradesh where it faced a humiliating defeat in the last elections, they are trying to poke their nose into the affairs of neighbouring Telangana.

Take the case of maverick YSRCP leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu.

Ever since the controversy over Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun has been rocking Telangana following the Sandhya Theatre stampede incident, Ambati has been making unwarranted comments against the Telangana government.

On Thursday, too, when the Telugu film industry people met Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy to sort out the issue, Ambati took to X saying: “For a complete resolution of the issue, “sofa” has to be sent.” Readmore!

He was obviously referring to a scene in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa-2: The Rule in which the hero would send “sofa” stuffed with cash bundles to the politicians to get the things done for him.

So, Ambati has sought to give the impression that the Telugu film industry people would have send “cash bundles in a sofa” to the Telangana chief minister to get their job done with regard to release of new films.

One wonders what business Ambati has to take such indirect potshots at Revanth Reddy, when he is supposed to concentrate on reviving the party in his own constituency.

Perhaps he thinks his comments at Revanth Reddy would indirectly pinch Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan.

It would be good if Ambati stops this non-sense comments and think about how to win back the confidence of the people in his own constituency.
