Software: Bengaluru Far Ahead Of Hyderabad

Bengaluru, often hailed as the Silicon Valley of India, continues to dominate software exports, clocking an impressive Rs 4,07,088.72 crore in FY24, according to MeitY.

Hyderabad, its closest competitor, stands far behind with exports of Rs 1,21,115.57 crore.

Following Hyderabad are Pune (Rs 1,05,818.98 crore) and Chennai (Rs 77,421.44 crore). Mumbai and Gurugram secured fifth and sixth positions with Rs 76,564.55 crore and Rs 52,931.70 crore, respectively.

Surprisingly, Andhra Pradesh failed to make a mark on this list, with Vizag’s contributions to software exports remaining negligible despite some software activity in the region. Readmore!

The rankings underline Bengaluru’s unmatched position in the IT sector, cementing its global reputation. 

Meanwhile, other cities such as Noida (Rs 50,119.10 crore), Kolkata (Rs 13,029.69 crore), Gandhinagar (Rs 8,636.92 crore), and Thiruvananthapuram (Rs 5,315.81 crore) continue their efforts to strengthen their presence in the competitive software export market.
