The U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad has addressed recent speculation regarding the establishment of a U.S. Visa Application Center (VAC) in Andhra Pradesh.
Responding to a news report, the Consulate wrote to GreatAndhra and clarified there are no current plans to build or open a new VAC in Vizag.
U.S. Consular Chief Rebekah Drame emphasized the Consulate’s commitment to meeting the needs of visa-seekers and continuously exploring improvements. However, no official announcements have been made regarding the establishment of a new facility.
The Consulate reiterated this position on its official Twitter handle, urging the public to rely on verified updates for information regarding visa services.

"The US Consulate General in Hyderabad is aware that recent reports are falsely claiming that new US Visa Application Centers are being established in Andhra Pradesh.
Our Consulate is always looking for ways to better facilitate travel to the United States from our region. We do not, however, have announcements to share with you on the building or opening of new VAC centers in our region."
