Actress and YSR Congress party supporter Sri Reddy, known for her controversial statements on social media, on Thursday issued an open letter apologizing to TDP leader Nara Lokesh and others for her past remarks.
In the letter addressed to Lokesh, she acknowledged her mistakes and pledged not to use offensive language in the future. Sri Reddy’s letter comes amidst mounting criticism over her comments against political leaders.
She said her family had close ties to Vijayawada and her entire family was jubilant when Amaravati was declared the capital.
She mentioned that her family supported the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and had encouraged her to issue a public apology.
“I have realized the damage my words have caused to many people’s sentiments. As a devotee of Lord Venkateswara, I swear that I made a mistake by speaking offensively. I sincerely apologize to Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh, their family members, and all TDP supporters, as well as to Jana Sena leaders and Veera Mahilas,” she stated.
Sri Reddy also extended her apologies to film personalities, including Chiranjeevi and Nagababu, and admitted to personal and professional failures.
Sri Reddy pledged to refrain from using inappropriate language and urged for forgiveness from all the parties involved.
She concluded the letter with an emotional appeal to protect her family and help her move past her mistakes.
