Posani, too, under trouble for past remarks?

As the Telugu Desam Party-led National Democratic Alliance government has begun cracking the whip on the YSR Congress party leaders and social media activists for their alleged abusive and obscene comments against the NDA leaders and their family members, more complaints are being lodged with the police with regard to YSRCP leaders’ comments in the past.

On Tuesday, Jana Sena leaders lodged a police complaint against YSRCP leader and actor Posani Murali Krishna for allegedly making inappropriate remarks about Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and his family.

The complaint was filed after the leaders met with SP Narasimha Kishore and submitted a formal representation seeking action.

According to Jana Sena leaders, Posani has made offensive comments multiple times on social media platforms, targeting Pawan Kalyan and party members.  Readmore!

They alleged that despite repeated incidents, no action was taken by the police during the YSRCP government's tenure.

"We had no choice but to approach the judiciary to seek justice," said a Jana Sena representative.

In a related development, TDP leader Chinnababu filed a complaint against Visakhapatnam resident Ravikiran for allegedly spreading false propaganda on social media about Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and MLA Adireddy Vasu.

The complaint was submitted on November 7 at the Prakashnagar police station in Rajamahendravaram. Following the complaint, police detained the accused on Monday and produced him before a magistrate.

The TDP leaders emphasized the importance of curbing false narratives on social media that tarnish the reputation of public figures.

These incidents highlight the growing tension and legal actions over defamatory statements and misinformation targeting political leaders in Andhra Pradesh.
