Matka's Runtime, Ideal For Mass Film

Varun Tej's latest film Matka directed by Karuna Kumar, received a U/A certificate. The movie is said to be racy from start to end with the screenplay to be very engaging.

The total duration with titles is 2.39 hours, while the runtime without titles is 2.33 hours. The first half of the runtime is 1.22 hours, and the second half is 1.11 hours.

Matka marks a significant shift for both the actor and the director. While Karuna Kumar is a sensible director who mostly made movies with a message, Varun Tej attempted a perfect mass and commercial subject after a long time.

This action-packed drama is set between 1958 and 1980. It was challenging for Varun Tej to play a role that needs to show the journey of the character from a very young age to 52 years old man, and he seems to have done his part well. Readmore!

Meenakshi Chaudhary got a meaty role, while Nora Fatehi’s glamour show will be another asset. Lele Raja song is said to be a treat on screen.

Karuna Kumar steps into the commercial space with Matka, and he does so with great confidence, as the promos promised. This movie is not just about the game Matka. It’s more or less a biopic of the protagonist.

It’s clearly evident that the art direction, cinematography, and GV Prakash Kumar’s music will be other big assets.

The first half of the film has a total of 4 fight sequences. But it’s the 20-minute revenge-driven climax that truly becomes a defining moment. Both the interval and climax scenes are said to be major highlights, keeping viewers on edge.

With high expectations, Matka will be gracing the cinemas on the 14th of this month. The bookings have opened for the movie.
