Behind The Scene: Naidu Gives A Blow To Reddy?

The central government has issued orders directing five Andhra cadre IAS officers working in Telangana to return to Andhra Pradesh, while also asking Telangana cadre officers currently in Andhra Pradesh to continue their duties there.

Last week, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visited Delhi and met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, handing over a list of officers he wanted.

Naidu reportedly expressed that he could not work with officials who had served under Jagan’s government, citing their actions as the reason for the state not receiving funds from the Centre.

Even though the Andhra cadre IAS officers working in Telangana approached the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) to prevent their transfer, CAT did not take any action.

The High Court also dismissed their petition, showcasing the influence Chandrababu has over the system.

What’s notable is that with this transferring of capable IAS officers like Vakati Karuna and Amrapali from Telangana to Andhra, Naidu seems unconcerned about the potential damage this could cause to his disciple, Revanth Reddy.
