Jani Master, a popular dance choreographer in Telugu films, is currently in jail facing charges of sexually abusing and harassing a colleague for many years.
The victim had joined his group as a dancer and quickly became his main assistant.
When she joined his team, she was a teenager. She has accused him of having sexual relations with her when she was still a minor.
However, Jani Master now claims that he is the victim, not her.
According to media reports, Jani told the police during interrogation that she pursued him persistently, harassing him to marry her.
He claims that when he refused to continue the relationship, she began portraying herself as the victim.
However, his statements may carry little weight at this stage of the investigation.
