He also mentioned that YCP members were hoping for floods to submerge Amaravati, and that's exactly what happened.
Pro-TDP media channels and his party spun a story alleging that individuals linked to the YCP tried to destroy the Prakasam Barrage by striking it with boats, intensifying the flood in Vijayawada.
Meanwhile, Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized the government's failure to take proper measures before the flood, despite weather forecasts, implying that the floods were a result of government negligence. YCP also condemned the weak rescue operations.
A netizen remarked, "If Balakrishna had paid attention to media coverage from both sides and understood what Chandrababu Naidu was saying, he would have known what to say in front of the media."
