Naidu blames Jagan rule for flood losses

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu launched a counter-attack on his predecessor and YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, stating that the huge damage caused by these unprecedented floods is only due to the blunders committed by the previous government.

"The sins committed by the previous government have turned into a curse to the State," Naidu remarked, while addressing a meeting with flood victims at Eluru.

Recalling that he had successfully ended rowdyism in State and factionism in Rayalaseema to extend better governance in the State even without communal hatred, Naidu said that he had moved forward resolutely even after a bomb attack on him during the Brahmotsavams in Tirumala. 

The present situation of the State is so bad that the revenue is not enough even to pay the interest for the loans raised by the previous government. Readmore!

Terming the Polavaram project as a boon to the State, he said that he could get Rs 12,000 cr from the Centre after convincing the Union Government.

The Polavaram works will soon be relaunched, he added. Mr Chandrababu Naidu announced several benefits to Eluru, including constructing a bridge with Rs 15 cr near Sanivarapupeta causeway.
