Director's Shocking Comments On Flop Film

The movie Goat, though it collected Rs 100 crore, ended up as a disaster. Aside from Vijay's fans, the film left audiences across all languages disappointed.

While some of Vijay's previous films have also failed, the criticism surrounding Goat has reached a new level. At a time when Vijay is making moves into politics, his fans feel it was a mistake to release such a film.

Director Venkat Prabhu responded to the widespread criticism, touching on the fact that the film featured Chennai Super Kings in the climax.

He believes that this alienated the Telugu and Hindi audiences, as fans of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians were unable to connect with the film. He claimed that this is why the film failed, but such reasoning seems weak. Readmore!

Venkat Prabhu also stated that he included all the elements the audience wanted and made the movie for the viewers, not the critics.

He attempted to explain that the time constraints he faced impacted the film, suggesting that he wasn’t given enough time to craft a movie that pleased everyone. However, this too is an unconvincing argument.

By making such illogical excuses, the director risks undermining his credibility with the audience. Instead of offering such defenses, remaining silent would have been wiser.

The film was a disaster in both the Telugu and Malayalam markets.
