Comedian Ali to join Jana Sena?

Popular Tollywood comedian Ali, who had been a staunch supporter of YSR Congress party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy till recently, has resigned from the party on Friday evening.

He sent his resignation letter to Jagan Mohan Reddy stating that he is resigning from the party for personal reasons.

According to reliable sources, Ali is likely to join the Jana Sena Party shortly. He reportedly sent feelers to Jana Sena Party chief and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan that he is interested in joining the party. And the power star is learnt to have given a green signal for the same.

Ali has been an ardent fan of Pawan Kalyan and was part of most of the films of the power star. Even when he was playing an active role in YSRCP, Ali has not made any negative comments against the Jana Sena chief. Readmore!

The comedian had joined the YSR Congress party before 2019 elections and campaigned extensively for the party in those elections. There was a talk that Jagan will reward him with a key post – either Rajya Sabha seat or the legislative council membership.

But Ali did not get either. Instead, he was made advisor to the government on electronic media affairs, which was just an ornamental post without any powers.

Before the 2024 general elections, too, there was a talk that Ali would be fielded either from a Lok Sabha constituency or an assembly seat.

Unfortunately, Ali did not get either. As a result, the comedian kept himself away from the party activities and did not campaign in the elections.

And with the YSRCP losing the elections miserably, Ali did not take much time to quit the party and is looking forward to a brighter future in the Jana Sena Party.
