Fahadh Faasil has become familiar to our people not only as the villain in Pushpa but also through his work in OTT movies. Generally, the production cost of Malayalam movies is less, which means that actors also take lower fees.
But when these actors come to the Telugu film industry, they demand higher pay. This isn’t a major issue as the additional costs are often recovered through the sale of rights in other languages.
With news that the hero and director are receiving huge remunerations for Pushpa 2, there is interest in how much Fahadh Faasil will get. Sources say that Fahadh, like many in Tollywood, is charging a daily fee for Pushpa 2. We have top character actors who take up to five to ten lakhs per day, but it seems that Faasil charges up to twelve lakhs per day.
There is a catch here. Actors receive their remuneration even if a shoot is cancelled after a date is scheduled. Additionally, if Faasil comes to Hyderabad for the shoot and it gets cancelled, he will reportedly charge two lakhs more than his usual rate.
This arrangement ensures that producers and directors are more careful about planning. If a shoot is cancelled, the cost will be higher. From Faasil’s perspective, this allows him to commit to quality films without wasting his working days.
We have to see when will our heroes think in these lines. There are some irresponsible heroes in Tollywood who cancel film shoots as per their whims and fancies.
