Jana Sena Party chief and power star Pawan Kalyan has made more money and amassed more assets after entering politics, than what he had earned through acting in films.
This was alleged by Pothina Venkata Mahesh, a die-hard follower of Pawan Kalyan till he joined the YSR Congress party recently after being denied Jana Sena Party ticket from Vijayawada (west) assembly constituency.
Mahesh, who has been repeatedly targeting Pawan Kalyan after joining the YSRCP, made yet another sensational allegation on the actor, saying the latter’s election affidavit from Pithapuram was full of blatant lies and deceits.
The YSRCP leader said Pawan Kalyan had amassed huge wealth and bought massive assets only after floating Jana Sena Party in 2014.
“He has taken massive packages from Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu with which he purchased more assets,” he said.
Referring to Pawan Kalyan’s affidavit in which he showed the value of his assets as Rs 90 crore, Mahesh said as per the market value, the assets are worth more than Rs 450 crore.
“If his income was Rs 114 crore, the tax paid by him was Rs 67 crore and the donations given by him were Rs 20 crore, how could he buy so many assets worth Rs 90 crore with the remaining Rs 20 crore?” he asked.
Mahesh also alleged that Pawan had resorted to large scale economic offences. He is such an intellectual that he had shown even the advances taken from film producers as his liabilities.
“The Income Tax department should conduct raids on his house and offices and punish him, if there are any irregularities,” he demanded.
