Some groups in Andhra Pradesh are waiting to see if the Election Commission will transfer Jawahar Reddy, the Chief Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Government.
The TDP is pressuring the Center to transfer the Chief Secretary before Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits AP in the first week of May.
Some IAS officers are also speculating that the Chief Secretary will be transferred similarly to Intelligence DGP Sitharamanjaneu.
Nirabh Kumar Prasad, Arun Kumar, Venkataramana Reddy, and Poonam Malakondaiah have a chance of being appointed as Chief Secretary as per sources.
Rajat Bhargava, the special secretary to the government, is also reported to be leveraging his connections in Delhi in this matter.
