These actors are commanding substantial fees for their roles, indicative of their immense popularity and market value.

The latest news is that Tamil cinema icon Rajinikanth has set a new record by becoming the highest-paid actor not only in India but across all of Asia.

Reports indicate that Rajinikanth is shattering previous records with a jaw-dropping salary of Rs 260 crore to 280 crore for his role in "Coolie," positioning him as the highest-paid actor in Asia.

Additionally, the film's director, Lokesh Kanagaraj, is reportedly receiving around Rs 60 crores to helm this ambitious project.

According to a recent Forbes India article, Shah Rukh Khan was previously the highest-paid actor in India, earning between Rs 150 crore and Rs 250 crore per film.

He was followed by Rajinikanth, who earned between Rs 150 crore and Rs 210 crore.

However, with his latest compensation for "Thalaivar 171," Rajinikanth has now surpassed Khan, taking the top spot on the list.

"Coolie," directed by celebrated Kollywood director Lokesh Kanagaraj, marks Rajinikanth's 171st film and is produced by Sun Pictures with a substantial budget.

The film also marks a reunion with veteran actress Shobana, sharing the screen with Rajinikanth after many years.

Additionally, star actress Shruti Haasan and Bollywood's Ranveer Singh are rumored to be playing significant roles.

Anirudh, a young musical prodigy, is scoring the soundtrack for this high-energy film.

The recently released teaser, which revealed the movie’s title, showcased Rajinikanth in a stylish and intense avatar, complete with fight sequences that involve weapons, watches, and gold chains.

The anticipation for "Coolie" is palpable, with fans eagerly awaiting its release.
