YSRC candidate Vanga Geetha collapsed while campaigning under the scorching sun at F K Palem village in Pithapuram mandal on Thursday. Her supporters promptly transported her to her camp office in Pithapuram.
According to doctors who attended to her, she had suffered from a sunstroke.
YSRC insiders revealed that Geetha had been running a high fever for the past two days. Despite this, she persisted with her campaign, visiting households and engaging with every family.
On Thursday, her blood pressure and sugar levels spiked, leading to her collapse.
Dr. Jagan Mohan, overseeing her treatment, advised her to rest for a minimum of 48 hours.
Geetha is fully committed to her campaign, especially given that YSRC has fielded her against film star and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, the NDA alliance candidate from the Pithapuram assembly constituency.
