Jogaiah revives Kapu Sena, backs Pawan-Naidu!

Strange are the ways of veteran Kapu leader and former MP Chegondi Harirama Jogaiah. It was only on March 8 that he had announced disbanding of Kapu Samkshema Sena founded by him and that he would keep away from politics, but would continue only as a political analyst.

Jogaiah even dashed off a strong letter to Jana Sena Party chief and power star Pawan Kalyan for accepting only 24 assembly seats and three Lok Sabha seats (which later came down to 21 assembly and two LS seats) and meekly surrendering to Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu.

He said Pawan Kalyan should have demanded power sharing from the TDP with the actor being in the CM post for the first two years. He said Kapus were disappointed with Pawan Kalyan for losing the opportunity to rule the state.

Three weeks later, Jogaiah took a complete U-turn. He announced the revival of Kapu Samkshema Sena, but in the name of State Kapu Balija Samkshema Sena and said it would extend support to Pawan Kalyan in Pithapuram assembly constituency.

Jogaiah issued a statement that a new committee of Kapu Balija Samkshema Sena was formed with 25 members and it would take the other weaker sections along with it to strive for their empowerment.

“We shall make efforts to see that these sections will come to power one day and Pawan Kalyan will take over the reins of the state,” he said, adding that he strongly believed Pawan Kalyan had the capability to become the chief minister with the support of other weaker sections.

Jogaiah also announced that the Kapu Balija Samkshema Sena would also strive for the victory of Telugu Desam Party-Jana Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party alliance in the state.

“We shall not allow the YSR Congress party led by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to come to power again,” he said.
