Balakrishna, you are not a super-human being!

Senior actor and Telugu Desam Party legislator, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s outburst against YSR Congress party legislator from Narasaraopet, Dr. Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy, has boomeranged on him.

At a YSRCP function held in Narasaraopet recently, a party worker, Bhaskar Reddy, played a song from Balakrishna’s latest film on the stage.

Gopireddy, who was the chief guest at the function, reportedly expressed anger at the party worker and shouted at him, asking how he could play Balakrishna’s song.

At a function on Tuesday, Balakrishna referred to this incident. Describing the YSRC MLA as a fool, the senior actor said people should watch films as a medium of entertainment and not from a political angle.

“He is a fool. Like leader, like follower,” he said, indirectly attacking YSRC president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Asking Gopireddy to mend his ways, Balakrishna, in his typical filmy style, warned that if he opened his “third eye,” the MLA would be finished.

“Cinema has no boundaries. It will unite all people irrespective of parties and politics,” he said.

On Wednesday, Gopireddy shot back at Balakrishna.

“He is also a human being, not a superhuman. Like any other person, he, too, has only two eyes. If he thinks too highly of himself, it is not possible. If he is a man, he cannot have a third eye,” he said.

The MLA said Balakrishna should not lose his tongue at the fellow members of the assembly.

“He may be a cinema hero, but in politics, it doesn’t work out. He has to come down to earth. He cannot shoot his mouth off at others just like that,” he said.

Gopireddy said before making allegations against others, Balakrishna should know what had happened at the Narsaraopet program.

“How can he believe the words of a drunkard and shout at me?” the MLA asked.
