For actress-turned-firebrand politician R K Roja, it was a dream come true to share the dais with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the inauguration of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju’s 125th birth anniversary celebrations at Bhimavaram on Monday.
Roja was provided an opportunity to be on the dais in the capacity of Andhra Pradesh tourism minister. And she was on cloud nine on being with the Prime Minister. But instead of being humble and dignified like Chiranjeevi, she did not hide her enthusiasm on stage.
She was present along with chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at the airport to receive the Prime Minister and Jagan introduced her to Modi as the state tourism minister. She was over jubilant on seeing the Prime Minister so closely.
As the programme at Bhimavaram was coming to an end, Roja rushed to the Prime Minister and requested for a selfie picture on her mobile. Modi was a little embarrassed as nobody ever asked him for a selfie.
As he was giving a pose with her selfie, Roja asked Jagan to come into the frame for the selfie. And Jagan, too, was a little irritated at her overenthusiasm. But, he, too, obliged her request.
As Modi was about to leave, Roja once again requested her for one more selfie. Jagan got irritated and suggested to her to stop her craze for selfies.
Even at the time of the Prime Minister getting down from dais, Roja tried to take a selfie from Chiranjeevi, but when she saw the megstar talking to Jagan, she stepped back.
Though Roja did not get an opportunity to speak on the dais, she was very much overwhelmed for being on the dais and spending time with Modi!
