Chaos In Governance - Is It Sabotage Or Loss Of Control?

It is the first term for Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy as chief minister and it looks as if the bureaucrats and employees are taking him easily.

It could also be other way round with Jagan Mohan Reddy taking things easily.

Whichever is the true, there is utter chaos in the administration. The fashionable words like transparency and accountability are not seen in the governance.

The happenings in the state in the last two days indicate that there is no governance in the state.

Tuesday was chaotic with the employees making hue and cry over withdrawal of their money from the GPF accounts.

No one knows or at least no one owns the action to clear confusion among the employees.

Wednesday added more fuel to the chaotic employees. A senior official issued an order in the evening asking the government employees to vacate free accommodation provided by the government.

The free accommodation was provided since 2017 when the government shifted the capital from Hyderabad to Amaravati.

Now, with less than 24 hours, the government asked them to vacate the apartments!

Again, there were chaos among the employees, who protested.

Hours later, there comes a communication from the office of the chief minister stating that the free accommodation is extended by another two months!

Such things in the government for two reasons – when the chief minister loses control over the administration or when some employees plan to sabotage the government.

Which of these two is the reason for this chaotic governance is a matter of concern for those in power.
