Who is the face of TDP? It is needless to say that Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao was the man behind its origin and growth. History knows how Chandrababu entered into the party and eventually how he backstabbed NTR and grabbed the TDP's steering wheel.
Chandrababu never thinks about NTR other than garlanding his statue during his anniversary whenever he is in power.
Though sitting in CM's chair for three times in the last forty years, Chandrababu couldn't name at least one of the districts on the name of NTR. He never wanted to give any space for Nandamuris.
There was ample chance to give the Ministry to Nandamuri Balakrishna when Naidu was in power. He deserved that as an elected MLA by the people. But Chandrababu kept him aside and encouraged only his son Nara Lokesh from the back door making him an MLC.
Chandrababu's idea was to erase the name of NTR and Nandamuri from the map of TDP.
At last, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's government has named a district as NTR District with Vijayawada as its capital. Why should he do this? It is just an act of honoring the deserving historical personality with due respect keeping all equations aside.
It should be recalled that it was YS Rajasekhara Reddy who made the NTR statue possible in the Parliament Bhavan in New Delhi during his reign. Chandrababu Naidu who used to boast that he is the one who decides who the Prime Minister of India should be, couldn't even make the statue of NTR possible in Delhi in his entire tenure.
Finally, Nandamuris also should be ashamed for conducting the last rites of NTR in government allotted land. NTR had Ramakrishna Studios and had he been buried there, the government land would be saved. But the family members of NTR didn't want to lose their personal property and so preyed on public land for the cremation and the eventual NTR Gardens.
