Jagan Proposes Curfew Relaxation

Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy proposed certain relaxations to the curfew being implemented in the state.

The relaxations would come into force from June 20, the scheduled day for review of the present curfew time.

However, the chief minister did not reveal what relaxation that he proposed for the present curfew period from 6 am to 2 pm.

Though not revealed what relaxation he proposes, the chief minister told the district Collectors and the Superintendents of Police to give relaxation for the agriculture and housing works in the villages.

As the agriculture season begins with the early monsoon, the chief minister wanted the collectors to exempt the farmers and the agriculture laborers to attend to their works even during the curfew time.

The chief minister also informed the collectors about the proposed housing programme in the state and wanted them to allow building construction and its related activities during the curfew hours.
