Even though there is no official shutdown of theatres in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, several theaters have already closed their operations until the situation becomes brighter.
Theaters that are running are hardly registering any footfalls. The trend will remain the same until July.
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s “Acharya” which is scheduled for May 13th release has been postponed indefinitely. The film’s shooting has also been stopped.
Now, director Koratala Siva, who is also overseeing the business of the film, reportedly informed the distributors to ready for August release.
The makers will announce a formal date towards the end of May. “Acharya” has been in the making for the last two years.
