Behind The Scene: Is Team Jagan Weak?

The series of defeats in the legal battle gives an impression that Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his team is weak.

No matter who sits in the courts, the team is losing the battle for reasons not known, except to say in a lay man language that the team is weak and Jagan has to do some homework.

The AP high court on Tuesday struck down the case of insider trading in Amaravati. The case was part of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s election campaign that TDP and its supporters have benefited more with this insider trading.

Jagan Mohan Reddy government also named daughters of Supreme Court judge as accused in the insider trade.

The government challenged the high court’s gag orders in Supreme Court and got the orders quashed.

It was that time alleged that the judges were biased against Jagan Mohan Reddy government and were under the influence of Chandrababu Naidu. People too gave Jagan Mohan Reddy the benefit of doubt.

Now, with new judges hearing the case, the Jagan Mohan Reddy’s team had failed to prove the charges and finally fell flat on the floor.

If Jagan Mohan Reddy’s team loses its most important battle like this, it only gives an impression that Team Jagan is telling lies or Team Jagan is weak. Either of the impressions is not good for Jagan and his party.

The defeat of Team Jagan in the insider trading case is a lesson that had come early for the team to learn.

Either Jagan should revamp his team or stop political witch-hunt. If not, he would have to pay heavy price. He can’t blame the new judges now and take shelter, as he was doing till now.
