Though Coronavirus has hit hard on the face of the film industry, the post lockdown scenario seems to be little favorable for the producers.
Many attempts are being made to reduce the production costs and also to get the financial support from financiers at the low interest rates.
Producers' Guild has been conducting several meetings in this aspect. Already some top financiers have agreed to support the industry with low interest rates.
On the other hand, some financiers are also giving concessions to producers for the pending interests.
Industry sources say that "Solo Bratuke So Better '', the film with Sai Dharam Tej has got 1.5 Cr interest concession.
Had there been no Covid, this film would have been released in Summer 2020. But that didn't happen. So the interest concession has brought a sigh of relief for the producer.
Another big film has reduced Rs 1.5 Cr in the production cost by making the actors and the crew reduce the remuneration upto 20%.
So, as a blessing in disguise the production costs are tentatively coming down to 20-25% on a whole in several companies.
