Bollywood filmmaker and actor Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter Saiee Manjrekar who made her debut with Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 is zeroed in for a vital role in Mahesh Babu’s latest production venture Major.
Since Major is a Telugu and Hindi bilingual, the makers have signed the Bollywood actress.
Saiee Manjrekar will join the film’s shoot from next month in Hyderabad.
Starring Adivi Sesh in the lead role, Major is inspired by the life of NSG commando Sandeep Unnikrishnan who was martyred in the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks in 2008.
The film directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka also features Sobhita Dhulipala essaying a crucial role.
As of now, more than half of the film’s shoot is wrapped up.
In partnership with Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies, Sony Pictures Films India is bankrolling the project aimed for 2021 summer release.
