Nithin's Rang De Gets A Tempting Offer From Zee5!

OTT streaming services are eyeing at medium budget movies after V makers opted for direct to digital release.

Zee 5 acquired total rights including digital, satellite, and theatricals of Solo Brathuke So Better that is expected to release in October.

Zee 5 had reportedly given a superb deal to SBSB producer, who made a handsome profit on the film even before the film is wrapped up.

Zee 5 had offered a similar offer to Sithara Entertainments for acquiring the rights of Rang De movie. Starring Nithin – Keerthy Suresh and directed by Venky Atluri, Rang De is aiming for Sankranthi release.

The producer is hoping that they could finish the remaining filming part shortly so that they can finish the post-production and release the movie in theaters for Sankranthi.

However, it is not easy to find buyers that would bet big on movies during these crisis times. Even satellite rights and Hindi dubbing rights wouldn’t fetch big deals at this time.

This is where Zee 5 is stepping in and offering a twenty percent profit on the total investment. Means the producer will pocket Rs 6 Cr profit on a movie made on Rs 30 Cr budget.

This is a superb deal, especially during these trying times. Rang De makers haven’t responded to the offer yet.
