Nithin has high hopes on the remake of Hindi hit Andhadhun that will start rolling when the corona crisis is over.
He is currently getting the pre production work done so that the filming can be completed in a single schedule. He is looking to rope in someone very popular to essay the role of Tabu’s in the original.
Nithin’s team approached Ileana, but she has reportedly denied the offer as she is only looking for female lead roles.
Then they had contacted Nayanthara, who demanded a shocking Rs 9 Crore remuneration to do the part. Nithin is willing to pay a whopping Rs 5 Cr to Nayanthara, but she isn’t willing to negotiate.
Even paying Rs. 5 Cr for a female actor is shockingly huge and definitely a burden for a medium budget film, but Nithin believes Nayanthara’s presence can bump up the expectations around this film.
They have other names in mind including Tabu if Nayanthara doesn’t come on board.
Andhadhun remake will be helmed by Merlapaka Gandhi of Express Raja fame. It will start rolling after Nithin completes the remaining work for his upcoming rom com Rang De.
