Nayanthara's career has been on an upward trajectory since her Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Atlee’s Jawan.
Amid her recent successes, older photos of the actress have resurfaced on social media, leading to speculation about possible cosmetic surgery.
In a recent interview, however, Nayanthara dismissed these rumors, explaining the reasons behind her changing appearance over the years.
Speaking with Hautterfly, Nayanthara shared her passion for experimenting with her eyebrows, explaining how subtle changes to eyebrow shape can significantly alter facial appearance, possibly leading to the misconception that she’s undergone surgery.
She explained, “I love doing my brows. I take the time to perfect it because it’s the real game changer. I’ve had different brow phases over the years. Maybe that’s why people think my face keeps changing.”
While addressing accusations of facial surgery, Nayanthara clarified that she has not had any procedures. Over the years, she’s been accused of sharpening her facial features and undergoing liposuction to appear leaner.
The actress explained that her weight has fluctuated, which naturally affects her facial appearance.
She continued, “Maybe that’s why a lot of people think that I’ve done something to my face. But, that’s not true. On record, not true. It’s not that it’s wrong, but for me, it has just been diet. So there’s been a lot of weight fluctuation, and my cheeks go in and out. You can pinch me, burn me, and you’ll know there’s no plastic in here.”
Since her debut in 2003 with the Malayalam film Manassinakkare, Nayanthara has risen to prominence as one of South India’s most celebrated actresses.
She is currently working on Dear Students alongside Nivin Pauly.
