Naidu turns superstitious for power?

Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is an out and out political worm.

He doesn’t have any sentiments nor does he believe much in blind faiths or superstitions.

He rarely visits temples and occasionally meets spiritual leaders like Jaggi Vasudev, Sri Sri Ravishankar or even for that matter Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, but he does attach much importance to the spiritual activities.

The only temple perhaps he visits at least once a year is that of Lord Venkateshwara in Tirumala. Readmore!

Of course, to appease voters, one might have seen Naidu visiting Dargas and churches, but not out of any faith.

But now that he and his TDP are facing a sort of existential crisis, Naidu seems to have developed some kind of belief in superstitions.

For the last one week, he is seen wearing a ring with dark coloured stone to his index finger of left hand.

It was noticed by some media persons at a press conference on July 1. The ring was not there in the earlier press conference held on June 23.

He continued to wear this ring even at the TDP meeting at Madanapalle.

Apparently, some astrologer has reportedly suggested that wearing a ring on the index finger of the left hand would fetch him power as it reflects the leadership qualities and bring out inherent abilities.

“It clearly shows that Naidu sported the ring only with a belief that it would fetch him power. Though he generally doesn’t believe in such things, he doesn’t want to take any chances and hence accepted the suggestion given by the astrologers,” sources said.
