Naidu, Lokesh insulting Dalits, complains YSRC

YSR Congress party on Friday lodged a complaint with Director General of Police Gautam Sawang seeing criminal action against Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu and general secretary Nara Lokesh for allegedly insulting Dalits.

The YSRC leaders, including Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh and MLAs Anil and Meruga Nagarjuna, alleged in their complaint that derogatory postings were uploaded against YSRC candidate in Tirupati by-elections M Gurumoorthy in the social media.

The social media posting showed a caricature in which Gurumoorthy was shown at the feet of chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy.

“This is nothing but humiliating Gurumoorthy, a Dalit leader,” the YSRC leaders said. Readmore!

Stating that these social media accounts were directly being monitored by Naidu and Lokesh, the YSRC leaders requested that cases be booked against the TDP bosses under Cybercrimes laws and also SC/ST Atrocities (Prevention) Act.

They also demanded that the derogatory postings in the social media be removed immediately, as they were humiliating his caste and personality publicly. They wanted immediate arrest and prosecution of Naidu and Lokesh.
