Naidu left BJP not for SCS but for PM post!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah reportedly shared their views on what led to the humiliating downfall of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in recent Assembly and Lok Sabha polls in Andhra Pradesh.

During the first cabinet meeting held by PM Modi in Delhi  two days ago after assuming office for the second term, Modi referred to Chandrababu's issue when the issue of present politics came up for discussion in the meeting.

Modi told ministers that Naidu left NDA just before general elections not because of his demand for granting special category status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh, but because of his 'over ambition' to become Prime Minister of the country with the support of Congress and regional parties.

Modi reportedly said, "Everyone thinks that Naidu left us because we have not accepted his demand to grant SCS for AP. When I inquired deep into Naidu's issue, I found that he left us to become PM with a hope that BJP will not get required majority and he can become PM with the support of Congress and regional parties." Responding to this, Amit Shah is learnt to have said, "I know Naidu did all this to become PM. Now look where he is? He is not even CM now. It's not wrong to have ambitions. But one should not be over ambitious. Becoming PM for Naidu is beyond his capacity."

Both the leaders reportedly told ministers that to cover up his ambition, Naidu enacted SCS drama in the last minute after sailing with BJP for over four years to come out of NDA with a dream of becoming PM.

They said Naidu now ended up as "na ghar ka, na ghat ka'.
