For the last two days, Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his party leaders have been making a hue and cry over the ugly postings against them in social media.
Naidu has been accusing YSR Congress party leaders of instigating their party workers to post abusive and ugly comments against him and his party leaders like Panchumarthi Anuradha.
On Friday, YSRC leader and state municipal administration minister Botsa Satyanarayana strongly condemned such posting against the opposition leader.
“Our party does not encourage such culture of abusing the opposition party leaders. The police will do whatever they are supposed to on these social media postings,” he said.
In the same breath, Botsa said Naidu had fallen victim to his own game plan that he had adopted when he was in power.
“When he was in power, he encouraged his party’s social media wing to troll our leader Jagan Mohan Reddy and other YSRC leaders. Now, it is backfiring on Naidu,” he said.
The YSRC leader pointed out that Naidu had been making false allegations against the Jagan government using paid artistes.
“When he does such dirty tricks, he will have to face consequences in the form of abusive social media posts,” he said.
Botsa advised Naidu to give up his negative thinking on every move of the state government.
“It is unfortunate that he is trying to attack the government on every decision for political mileage. He did not spare even the village secretaries system which provided jobs to over a lakh of people,” the minister criticised.
