Naidu Collected Rs 100 Cr From Each District!

A senior Telugu Desam Party leader from West Godavari district, who resigned from the party on Saturday, alleged that party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had collected Rs 100 crore from each district in AP in the name of membership fee.

TDP district general secretary Chelikani Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Seetharama Swamy alias Sombabu who submitted his resignation from the primary membership of the party, lamented that Naidu had not given him any recognition to his services to the party for the last six years.

Sombabu was apparently disappointed for being ignored in the formation of various committees including TDP state committee for AP on Friday.

He had joined the TDP in 2002 and had been with the party for the last 18 years, including 11 years as TDP general secretary in West Godavari district. Readmore!

He said Naidu had completely ignored the Velama community in the formation of party committees.

“Though I had requested him to give me party ticket for Unguturu assembly constituency in 2014 and 2019, he did not bother to consider my request,” he regretted.

Sombabu went to the extent of alleging that Naidu had collected huge amounts of money in the name of party membership.

“He has collected Rs 100 crore from each district. From Gopalapuram constituency itself, I had mobilised Rs 60 lakh. Nobody knows what has happened to this money,” he said.

He further alleged that though Naidu had promised to extend financial help to every party worker who died accidentally, but so far, not a single party worker got the money.

“Chandrababu Naidu’s every thought and every decision are ruining the party and I am sure, the party would disappear from the state politics very soon,” he predicted.

It is not exactly known what the next course of action of Sombabu would be – whether he would join the YSR Congress or the Bharatiya Janata Party.

He, however, said for the time being, he would take care of the activities of charitable trust formed by his family.
