Political parties, without any exception, are splurging money in the elections for putting up big shows, organise rallies and road shows to attract people.

It is learnt even for filing the nomination papers, the candidates are spending money lavishly by mobilising huge crowds to put up a big show.

Take for instance, YSR Congress party candidate from Srikalahasti constituency Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy alias Madhu took out a massive rally in the temple town with huge crowds, to file his nomination with the returning officer on Thursday.

It is learnt, Madhu has spent over Rs 1 crore only for the rally. Since he is fighting against Telugu Desam Party candidate Bojjala Sudheer Reddy, the YSRC had to resort to such a show of strength.

Reports of similar rallies are coming from different parts of the state. Imagine if an opposition party candidate could spend such a huge amount only for the nomination rally, how much a ruling party candidate can spend during the electioneering!
