Moinabad drug case: Ex-BRS MLA in deep soup!

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Telangana police probing the sensational Moinabad farmhouse drugs case has uncovered fresh leads, tightening the net around Pilot Rohith Reddy, a BRS leader and former MLA from Tandur.

Rohith Reddy and his brother Ritesh Reddy, already arrested and lodged in jail as prime accused, are facing further scrutiny as investigators reveal new financial and personal links.

The SIT has now identified a new individual, Kedar, whose name has surfaced in connection with the case.

Kedar reportedly died last year in Dubai due to a drug overdose. Investigators have found that Rohith Reddy and his associates had close links with him. Readmore!

Police sources indicate that multiple financial transactions took place between Rohith Reddy and Kedar.

Evidence has also been gathered suggesting that funds were transferred on several occasions to organisers of drug parties.

Investigations revealed that Rs 25 lakh was transferred from Ritesh Reddy’s bank account to Kedar, allegedly linked to Rohith Reddy’s transactions.

Officials stated that both Rohith Reddy and Ritesh Reddy have failed to provide satisfactory explanations regarding these transactions.

These findings were recently included in the police petition seeking extension of custody of the accused.

Meanwhile, the state government has taken the case seriously and constituted a SIT under the leadership of Rajendranagar DCP Yogesh Gautam.

The team is not only interrogating the accused but also probing the broader drug supply network.

Investigators are focusing on identifying the source of narcotics supplied to the farmhouse party, the structure of the network, and its alleged links to Dubai-based operatives.
