MLAs Await Calls: YSRCP's Fifth List Today

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, also the YSRC president, persisted in discussions with party leaders on Wednesday regarding the forthcoming fifth list.

The almost complete list is anticipated to be officially released on Thursday.

Initial speculation suggested a late Wednesday release for the fifth list, prompting the summoning of several MLAs and ministers to the CM’s Camp Office in Tadepalli. However, due to incomplete deliberations, the list's release has been rescheduled for Thursday.

Sources reveal that the fifth list will include 10 to 15 names, predominantly from MP segments. Readmore!

Legislators awaiting seat allocations express anxiety about receiving calls from the CMO, fearing either ticket denial or a change of constituency.

Over the past two days, Jagan Mohan Reddy has engaged in discussions with several MLAs, a move seen as part of the decision-making process.

The resignation of Narasaraopet MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu has prompted a reassessment of equations in the Narasaraopet parliament constituency.

With the likelihood of Devarayalu contesting on the Telugu Desam ticket, Jagan Mohan Reddy aims to field a strong leader, primarily from BCs.

Sources indicate that Yanamala Nagarjuna Yadav is a potential candidate for the Narasaraopet Lok Sabha seat.

Notable visits to the CM’s Camp Office include Srisailam MLA Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy, Avanigadda MLA Simhadri Ramesh Babu, and Tadepalligudem MLA and minister Kottu Satyanarayana.

In organizational changes, the YSRC high command has replaced MP Mopidevi Venkataramana with Evur Ganesh as the party in-charge of Repalle.

Additionally, Santanutapadu MLA T.J.R. Sudhakar Babu, denied a ticket, also made an appearance at the CMO.

The announcement of the candidate for the Ongole MP seat is pending, with no indication of Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy being renominated.

Sources suggest that the Chief Minister's election campaign, scheduled to begin on January 27, will prompt the release of the fifth and sixth lists before that date.
