A student from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad, located in Kandi, Sangareddy district, was reported missing last week.
Sadly, on Tuesday, July 25, the police found his body in Visakhapatnam.
The student, identified as Karthik (21 years old) from Miryalguda, Nalgonda district in Telangana, was suspected to have died by suicide. His body was discovered on a beach in Visakhapatnam.
The police have transferred the body to King George Hospital for autopsy and have launched an investigation into the incident.
Karthik was a second-year B. Tech (Mechanical) student at IIT Hyderabad, and he had left the campus on July 17. His phone was switched off, adding to the concern.
Upon receiving the information from IIT authorities, Karthik's parents rushed to the institute on July 19 and lodged a complaint at the Sangareddy rural police station.
The police and the student's family members conducted searches at various locations to find him.
During the investigation, the police traced the mobile phone signal to Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
In response to this information, a team of policemen, accompanied by Karthik's parents, traveled to Visakhapatnam.
