It appears a section of media and social media is too eager to send YSR Congress party leader and Kadapa MP Y S Avinash Reddy behind the bars in connection with the murder of his uncle and former minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy three years ago.
For the last few hours, social media is buzzing with speculations and rumours that the Central Bureau of Investigation is tightening the noose around Avinash in the Viveka murder case.
The rumours say Avinash might be arrested any time after due interrogation and that the CBI authorities have already intimated the same to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in this regard.
According to these rumours, a high-level team of officials from the CBI in New Delhi is expected to come to Kadapa on Thursday to interrogate Avinash Reddy and also his father Y S Bhaskar Reddy.
“The CBI team would serve notices on Avinash and his father first for questioning and subsequently, take them into custody,” a social media post said, quoting “reliable sources” in Delhi.
It is very apparent that these speculations are in tune with the statements being issued by the TDP leaders including president N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh accusing Avinash Reddy and even chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy of conspiring on the murder of Viveka.
Instead of allowing the law to take its own course, these media are carrying such speculations with an obvious motive to embarrass the YSRC and Jagan.
