May vote for BRS in Andhra, says Vundavalli

Former Congress MP from Rajahmundry Vundavalli Arun Kumar is a crazy character. At times, he sounds intellectual and at other times, his statements appear to be silly and stupid.

At a time when the political parties in Andhra Pradesh are cautious in reacting to the entry of Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao by converting his Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) into Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Vundavalli welcomed the same.

He said he might even vote for the BRS in the next elections in Andhra Pradesh, because KCR was strongly fighting against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

“I will vote for any party that opposes the BJP,” he said. Readmore!

If BRS enters Andhra politics with anti-BJP slogan and has fair chances of winning any seat, Vundavalli said he would definitely vote for the party.

“Otherwise, I shall vote for the Congress or the Communist parties or even NOTA,” he said.

Expressing confidence that KCR’s new party would reach out to the people across the country, Vundavalli said there was no better person than KCR who could present his stand effectively among the people all over the country.

“KCR can speak eloquently in English, Hindi and Telugu. Though Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal, Akhilesh Yadav and Stalin are also strongly opposed to the BJP, they are not effective communicators like KCR. He can be the strong voice of the opposition,” the former MP said.

He, however, said he was not sure whether the BRS would achieve success as a national party.

“But KCR’s voice will definitely reach the people,” he said.

Vundavalli said KCR had called him to Pragathi Bhavan in the past and explained his plans and strategies in launching the national party.

“I felt happy on listening to his plans. But KCR will not relinquish Telangana politics. While continuing in the state politics, he will concentrate on national politics,” the ex-MP added.

He also made it clear that he was ready to extend whatever help KCR would need.

“I am ready to go whenever he calls me. He has a lot of clarity on the national issues. Even if he doesn’t call me, I will adopt an independent line in opposing the BJP,” Vundavalli said.
